On December 11th, Taiwan Strait Network reported that Xiamen will implement a project to enhance the connotation of smart campus construction, select and cultivate characteristic schools for smart education in primary and secondary schools, create smart education characteristic brands, explore new forms of future schools, and continue to support teacher development. Yesterday, the Education Bureau of Xiamen held a press conference to introduce the situation of artificial intelligence promoting the construction of the teaching staff in 2024.

In terms of enhancing teachers' intelligent literacy, Xiamen has established a teacher digital literacy improvement mechanism of "expert guidance topic driving research and training support practical application", and created a high-quality teacher team that meets the needs of the development of education in the intelligent era. The High Standard Implementation of Teacher Information Technology Application Ability Enhancement Project 2.0 has completed training for over 30000 teachers in primary and secondary schools throughout the city.

In terms of assisting in the transformation of education and teaching methods, Xiamen adheres to the principle of "application is king", promotes the integration of digital technology and frontline teaching, realizes the widespread application of artificial intelligence teaching assistants, research assistants, and evaluation assistants, and changes the conventional form of education and teaching. Tools such as smart classroom analysis strengthen the collection and analysis of big data in classroom teaching, promoting school-based research from traditional experiential models to intelligent evidence-based models. Nowadays, in Xiamen campus, intelligent grading, intelligent paper and pen tools are widely used, which effectively assist teachers in mastering teaching effectiveness and students' academic situation, and improve teaching and learning efficiency. AI sports, smart sports bar and other systems automatically collect student sports data, visually display exercise intensity, practice density, etc., and promote more scientific teaching. The oral English exam for the middle school entrance examination adopts a human-machine dialogue intelligent scoring form, and the physical education entrance examination introduces technologies such as AI photography to further enhance the intelligence level of the exam. Haicang District has cultivated a number of AI pilot schools, with 80% of primary and secondary school teachers using dot matrix pens to grade assignments, 77% of primary and secondary schools offering AI courses on a regular basis, and over 25% of schools attempting to use AI classroom teaching analysis systems to assist teaching and research, making education and teaching more efficient, accurate, and personalized. Next, Xiamen will adhere to an application-oriented approach, further optimize the digital infrastructure of education, expand the application scenarios of AI enabled education, and improve the scale and quality of digital technologies such as AI in the field of education.

It is reported that currently, there are 218 city level smart campuses for primary and secondary schools in Xiamen, 10 provincial-level "smart campus pilot schools", and 1 national vocational college digital campus construction pilot school.
