Guotou Corporation is a large state-owned backbone enterprise, and China Electronics Engineering Design Institute is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guotou Corporation, serving as its technology innovation and service platform. Our research group is affiliated with the Institute of Electronics. To ensure the smooth progress and implementation of the research work of the research group, the base adopts a tripartite working mechanism consisting of the State Investment Corporation, the Institute of Electronics, and the research group.
1. The research group is the specific implementation department responsible for promoting relevant research work according to the plan. The research team has world-class academic leaders, a complete technical team covering various fields such as algae biotechnology, sewage treatment, biochemical engineering, mechanical design, automation, as well as high-level scientific experiments and engineering technology platforms, which can effectively ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
2. The Institute of Electronics is the supporting unit of the research group, responsible for managing the entire process of project implementation, implementing supporting conditions, providing comprehensive guarantees and support for the planned implementation of the project, and being responsible for the completion of project goals and implementation effects.
3. Guotou Company is the superior supervisory unit of the Institute of Electronics, responsible for guiding the implementation of projects, strategic directions, etc. Dr. Hu Qiang, the leader of our research group, has a high level of technical expertise and strong organizational management skills. Prior to returning to China, he served as the co director and chief scientist of the Arizona Algae Technology and Innovation Center in the United States. This center is the only national microalgae energy demonstration base of the US Department of Energy, specializing in the comprehensive development and utilization research of algae with oil rich microalgae as the core. Select two high-yield oil algae species, GTWZ1 and GTWZ2. We have developed a new generation of tubular photobioreactors primarily made of transparent plastic materials. The algal biomass yield is 50% higher than that of existing tubular closed photobioreactors, corresponding to a 75% increase in output value; 100% increase in productivity compared to open cultivation systems, corresponding to a 150% increase in output value; The maximum production capacity of algal biomass reaches 25g m-2 d-1; The cost of producing equal amounts of biomass is reduced by more than 40% compared to tubular photobioreactors and more than 80% compared to open cultivation systems; The required land area for producing equal amounts of biomass is reduced by more than 25% compared to tubular photobioreactors and more than 50% compared to open cultivation systems.
