On the morning of May 17th, more than 80 chief technical officers (backbone teachers) from Shanwei City, led by General Manager Huang Wei, visited the Juying 3D Innovation Maker Science Popularization Education Base in Shenzhen for inspection and exchange. This event not only strengthened cooperation between the two sides in the field of science and technology education, but also brought new opportunities for common progress and high-quality development of the education systems in both regions.
The inspection team gained a deep understanding of the achievements of Juying 3D in innovation of educational equipment at various levels of universities, middle schools, and primary schools, as well as how these innovations are integrated with course content. They have experienced the cutting-edge 3D printing, 3D scanning technology, as well as devices such as 3D statues, 3D metaverse digital humans, and experienced the new changes brought by technology to education.
At the subsequent symposium, General Manager Huang Wei delivered a speech titled "2024 Additive Manufacturing Technology and 3D Scanning Technology Current Status and Future, Opportunities and Challenges". He emphasized the important role of artificial intelligence, 3D modeling technology, and the Internet of Things technology in improving students' comprehensive literacy, in conjunction with the revised high school teaching outline by the Ministry of Education. He pointed out that by learning 3D modeling technology, students can master the use of at least one 3D design software and be able to apply the theories and tools of 3D design and manufacturing to solve practical problems.
General Manager Huang Wei also shared the case and practical experience of Juying 3D, how to integrate additive thinking into technology education and make 3D creation classes more interesting. He mentioned that from the earthen walls and surrounding buildings to swallow's nests and beehives, as well as organisms such as trees and animals, they are all examples of additive manufacturing. He emphasized that science and technology teachers in primary and secondary schools should cultivate students' innovative awareness, guide them to observe and discover, experience the joy of innovation, and improve their hands-on ability.
After the symposium, the person in charge of Juying 3D presented several teachers with 3D maker textbooks and electronic courseware specially designed for primary and secondary school students. The teachers who participated in the activity expressed strong interest and looked forward to more opportunities for cooperation in the future.
This exchange activity is a specific action taken by the Giant Shadow 3D Innovation Maker Science Popularization Education Base in response to the superior's request for comprehensive integrated assistance to the Shanwei City follow-up training project.
