Chinese robot manufacturer AIMOGA Robotics, a subsidiary of the automaker Chery Group, showcased its lineup of robots equipped with embodied intelligence at the “Technology Meets AI” 2026 Chery AI Night held in Wuhu on January 17.

As the inaugural flagship event of Chery’s technology IP “A Thousand and One Nights” in 2026, the showcase highlighted the company’s latest advancements in full-scenario AI development.

The line of AIMOGA robots is built on Chery’s strengths in intelligent systems and manufacturing integration, leveraging embodied intelligence to perform tasks in real-world scenarios across diverse environments.

A full robot family

The event featured a dedicated AiMOGA exhibition and interaction zone, allowing visitors to engage with robots and learn about their capabilities. The exhibiting robots included the “Wuyou” Intelligent Police R001 robot and the “AiMOGA Care” RN001 medical service robot.

Through close interaction with the robots, visitors saw how embodied intelligence powers seamless communication, intelligent guidance, and collaborative capabilities in practical scenarios. The AiMOGA robot lineup was a highlight of the event.

Meet the AiMOGA robot

Developed by Chery and used mostly in automotive industry tasks, the AiMOGA robot features 41 degrees of freedom. It has highly dexterous hands equipped with 12 degrees of freedom each, allowing it to perform tasks with precision.

The AiMOGA robot walks at 1 m/s and speaks in 10 languages with about 95% accuracy. It can master industry-specific tasks in about an hour, allowing engineers to customize it for different real-world scenarios.

The AI Night event at Wuhu was one such event where Chery showcased different explorations of the AiMOGA event.

AiMOGA’s capabilities

AiMOGA operates as an intelligent humanoid assistant designed to engage customers, deliver in-depth product explanations, assist with test drives, and handle reception and concierge services.

It communicates naturally across multiple languages, interprets speech and gestures through multimodal perception, and rapidly absorbs new industry knowledge to enable personalized interactions.

The robot’s decision-making system is powered by DeepSeek’s large language models, enabling it to interpret natural language and generate tailored, situation-aware responses. Chery’s robust manufacturing infrastructure further supports these innovations, shortening the path from R&D to commercialization.

Equipped with a bionic motion system, it moves smoothly and performs human-like actions such as walking and manipulating objects.

The past record

The AiMOGA robot made headlines last year, serving as a car sales consultant for Chery’s Malaysian subsidiary automotive brands, Omoda and Jaecoo. The robot, named Mornine, featured across various marketing initiatives, positioning itself as the brand’s digital face.

Later, the AiMOGA robot stunned tech enthusiasts worldwide with its ability to open a car door autonomously, just as humans do.

With a vision of having humanoids and humans work seamlessly, Chery reintroduced the robot as a car sales assistant in October last year. This time, the robot delivered a 30-minute presentation at the event.

AiMOGA Robotics delivered 300 deployed robots and 1,000 robotics dogs across 30 different countries and regions in 2025. Its humanoid robot, Mornine, has obtained both hardware and software EU certifications, laying the foundation for global expansion.
