Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, recently welcomed 209 new students, setting a record for the largest and most diverse enrollment at the university. As the world's first graduate school dedicated to artificial intelligence research, MBZUAI has made significant progress in both the quantity and quality of graduate students in various disciplines of artificial intelligence.
The 209 students who will enroll in the fall of 2024 come from 36 countries, of which 44 are from the United Arab Emirates. 147 students are pursuing master's degrees and 62 are pursuing doctoral degrees, covering fields such as computer science, computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics.
According to the UAE News Agency on September 2nd, MBZUAI received over 4800 applications this time, with an admission rate of only 5%, making the competition extremely fierce.
